My favorite feature is the clearly posted information throughout the terminals, making it very easy to find your arriving people. I also like how there is a currency exchange by baggage claim to make things a little easier on travelers.
Never liked the feeling of airports. This one has vastly improved over the years and almost feels a little exciting to me. Bright, clean, arts displayed, Phil's BBQ! Stone Brewery?!
Best Airport Ever!!! Well here are the reasons why this is my favorite airport and how much I like it!!!
Beautiful, extremely well laid out and welcoming airport. Was the best airport we visited in the U.S. The design and art pieces scattered around the airport make it feel homely and cosy. You don't feel rushed to get out of the airport and has all the stores you could need for shopping. The staff are extremely friendly which make it an amazing experience.
5. Less Pollution than LAX and other major airports
I like this airport. It’s nice, clean, small and friendly. The stores are well lit and colorful and all around very well kept up. Bay Books has a super friendly staff and manager. It’s one of my favorite airports and I’ve always traveled through security fast with the staff moving people through in a safe and efficient manner. I normally fly out of terminal 1 or 2 and have always had a good experience.

It is very close to downtown San Diego but expect city traffic as you make your way into the city.

The car rental center is outside the airport premises and can be reached via a free shuttle. Allot at least an extra half hour as the shuttle service can be frustratingly slow.

Good airport overall. Not too crowded and passengers are processed relatively fast. Terminal 2 in particular is spacious, clean, and has free exhibitions and public art to keep passengers entertained. Check out the “Intergalactic Dreaming” exhibition if you fancy astronomy and space science. Complimentary Wi-Fi was reliable but limited to two hours per session, after which a new session can immediately be started.
