Very disappointed! Friend told me to go, but turned out to be some kind of "Faith Healer" meeting. The little group seemed to be under the spell of the preacher, but he just sounded like the phoney Benny Hinn faith-healer stuff to me. Definitely not the biblical teaching I desire! Meeting went on and on and on, but I was too embarrassed to leave early. This little group seems like they are in some hypnotic trance for hours. Despite the waste of my time, I actually felt sorry for the younger ones listening to this unbiblical rant!
To be in a place where truth is spoken is an amazing thing. There is no compromise here because God demands no compromise! If you are looking for a church that is 100% real than this is the place!
Closer to Scientology than a New Testament Church.!! The tyrannical leader, Mark Spitsbergen is definately not a "pastor" by any biblical definition. Mark Spitsbergen seems to specialize in mind control of his tiny, biblically ignorant "flock", many of whom are family members. I saw other reviewers describing the "brainwashing" approach here and that was my feeling also. In the 3 meetings I attended I saw Mark Spitsbergen yell and carry on more like a witch doctor claiming to be a miracle worker than a pastor. I went back mainly because I could not believe how bad it was. The performances seemed to be worse on Wednesday and Sunday nights when fewer people were there. The poor "regulars" seem to enjoy the abuse and errors being propagated. If you know your Bible you will not want to spend 5 minutes in this place.
Seemed like a bizarre cult to us. My wife was totally put off by the lack of sound Bible teaching! Long, long meeting seemed more like group manipulation than a true biblical message! People are friendly, but they seem so intense trying to idolize their leader and get new adherents to their group. Kind scary place in an old bldg.
This church is for those already established in their walk with Christ. This is not a church for a new believer . I read a "Scientology" comment on this post, which is utterly ridiculous and clearly the demonic working hard at chasing people away. I have never heard anyone one else preach here but the main pastor and I have been a Christian for six years now and have experienced miracle after miricle coming to this church. Even though I have only been a Christian for a few years , I have experienced deliverance and healing from Jesus Christ. When you go to a church it's not about the pastor (which this pastor is def. NOT a false teacher) but it's about Jesus! Are you wise enough to discern what he is telling you and teaching you.
