Best place ever! Honestly this place has great prices and awesome sandwiches and the owner is so cool!

Terrible experience. The older Asian lady at the checkout was totally incompetent, which is fine, the machine for the secured chip for the debit cards is hard for her. She is at least 70, and I can understand technology is tough. But she was totally abusive for the 10 minutes it took her to figure it out. Rude, aggressive...look I'm a regular customer, and I can understand there is a language barrier and she was frustrated. But trust me, this was a bit bizarre in terms of total disrespect. It's not like I am some drunk buying booze at midnight. This is 11am, I am buying my tobacco like I do several times a week. w/e there are other options nearby.

I love grabbing sandwiches from St. Germain and taking them to the Gliderport on a weekend afternoon picnic. Their deli is surprisingly excellent and the freshly-made sandwiches come with a side salad (Greek, fruit, macaroni, etc.) and a pickle for a great price. The ladies who make your sandwich are nice and very accomodating. I usually get the Turkey Avocado on either squaw or whole wheat bread, with either Greek or fruit salad depending on my mood, and it's been delicious every time.

I go here often. Good selection. Owners like to chat and are fun to talk to.

Where to begin? I have been going here for almost 10 years and on several occasions I have thought to myself, "If there was a zombie apocalypse, this is where I would hole up." As the name suggests they sell spirits, plus wine and beer, but they also have a deli where you can custom order some of the best handmade sandwiches in San Diego. What makes this place special is the highly curated selection, everything hand-picked, from the deli meat (Dietz & W.) to the beer and wine, to the ice cream and candy, it's not a Wal-Mart so they can't stock everything, but they stock what counts, like a great mini-bar at a high-end hotel.

Definitely go check it out--it's a great diamond in the rough!

You can also find almost any drink or other side in the store, with a huge selection of alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks, plus chips, crackers, small tubs of Häagen-Dazs ice cream, and other candy. The guy who owns the place is also super nice, and, as long as you're polite, his wife is fine.
