The selection is mostly geared towards fish (fresh and salt) and reptiles, and you could spend a few hours (which we do) just looking at the variety they offer.
Best African Cichlid selection in Southern California and best all around exotic pet store in San Diego. I have talked to the fish and reptile staff coming from 30 years of experience and they are all experts in a particular group. I drive an hour to visit and always worth the trip.
Been coming here years. They have excellent costumer service and an excellent selection of reptiles and fish. Been feeding my gecko with their feeder crickets and she's 20 years old and counting.
Overall worth visiting though.
I am a repeat customer and love this store! Today needed a home-away-from-home tank for my beardie and got the advice I needed and exactly what I wanted. No high-pressure sales tactics either AND he carried my purchase to my car! Great store, great inventory, wonderful staff.

I Bought a baby bearded dragon almost a month ago. Unfortunately he became sick. I went back and Matt and Andrew were very helpful in helping me fix him. They are not only knowledgeable when it comes to reptiles but are supportive in trying to aid them into better health. They not only provide their customers with the best service but are very sympathetic! They are my go to pet store! Thanks guys!
The staff seems to be experienced and always friendly. The biggest positive for me is the variety of fish they sell. There are options here that I have never seen other places. The only drawback for me is that they don't ship. I would love to buy some of the fish they sell but there is no way to get them home for us.
