Well worth dining at! Very professional staff and excellent food!
Hands down the best spicy chicken soft taco I've had in SD!! Must try the Serrano-cucumber infused margarita too!
So I went there last night with my family. From the moment we walked in, both my family and my cousin's total of 5 adults 4kids, we were not very welcomed but they put together two tables. My son, who is 10months old, was talking and launghing. The table next to us thought it was adorable. We just placed the kids ordered when the waitress came over to me to let us know that her manager asked me to take my son outside because he was being to loud. The whole restaurant was talking and loud and there was the bar next door. Also other families with kids there too. I would understand if my son was crying, but he was just having fun. I am in customer service and have never seen such disrespectful service. The manager wouldn't even come over himself but had the server tell us. We left, as we did, i talked to the manager, he was cold and rude. He said that my son was annoying and sorry that i felt that way and said nothing us. If you care about how people are treated, then i would recommend NOT GOING TO THIS HORRIBLE place especially if you have kids. Also this place is listed on thier site as family friendly which they are NOT. After we left, we went to On the Border which welcomed us with open arms and took great care of us, so do yourself a favor and stay away from Jimmy Carter's.
Very nice atmosphere. Service was great. Had the chicken burrito, was was plentiful and tasty. They have a little bar/cantina as well. We walked there from a nearby apartment, but I think parking could be a challenge. I suspect most of their customers are mostly locals.
I don't really know why this place is rated so high. The food was good but not great. Beans were good! $3 beers were a nice touch.
