I'd never had physical therapy before and I'd heard nothing but horrible things about it. I'd recently been diagnosed with a shoulder condition that easily takes years to recover from and decided to give physical therapy a try. Was I in for a pleasant surprise!
Last week I "graduated" from PT with Dr. Michele Guido. I feel like I've been given a new shoulder and could not have asked for better results. Michele is extremely knowledgeable and focused her efforts on getting me back to full function. She is also smart, caring and personable. I highly recommend her and her staff. Each was a pleasure to work with.
I recommend her highly!
I've seen tremendous progress in the short time I've been a patient of Activo PT and I'm looking forward to a full recovery. Thank you all so much for all of your help, and once I'm 100% you and the staff can have free tennis lessons for life!
Michelle Guido, of Activo Physical Therapy, and Michelle’s staff have changed my life for the better. I had a total knee replacement in December of 2011. My outpatient rehab program was set up with a well reputed hospital in San Diego. The physical therapy (PT) I received from this hospital was sub-par that I lost faith in PT and quit physical therapy. This resulted in a hunched back and a heavy limp and inability to walk without a walker and/or crutch. At my 3 month evaluation visit, my doctor was very disappointed and recommended Activo. I visited Activo with much skepticism. I have been a patient at Activo for the last 3 months. I now have straight posture. I can walk without support. I do not limp. I believe this total transformation is a result of Michelle’s knowledge and expertise and her compassion and motivation to improve patients’ quality of life. In the three months of attending at Activo two to three times a week, I have never experienced neglect or double booking. Michelle’s staff members who also attend the reception are very well trained in PT. I highly recommend Activo.
The site was easy to find and her clinic well equipped. I felt very comfortable and enjoyed the wide array of equipment and gadgets.
After having a bad run with another physical therapist after my ACL and meniscus surgery, I was starting to lose hope. Activo PT has not only restored my faith in physical therapy, but has also bolstered my faith in human kind in general :). Dr. Guido and her staff are attentive, caring and very fun to work with. I actually look forward to physical therapy each week! (Now only if I could find a dentist of this caliber!).
Michelle Guido implemented an excellent rehab regimen for my injured knee. She was caring and efficient, making excellent use of our time together to get my strength back and regain my full range of motion.
From day 1, the staff at Activo were attentive, personable, and encouraging. Not only did they immediately begin my therapy, they were very careful to be sure I didn't exceed my capabilities. Each session was like this, and as I improved, the treatments changed to be sure every aspect of my shoulder issue was dealt with effectively. Because of the friendly demeanor of the staff, I looked forward to coming in which helped make sure I was getting the proper care. God forbid I ever need physical therapy again...but if I do, I'll be going back to Activo.
