My experiences at the observatory have been AWESOME, especially for a disabled man like me. Before I went in there I was stressed about how I could get in there with me chair. A security guard named Quincy more than went out of his way to accommodate me. After Quincy patted me down, I was escorted to Lamar, who politely took my ticket & put my risk band on for me. After a few minutes, Quincy came to the disabled section ti make sure I was good. I really appreciated that gesture of checking on me after the fact. I have & will be back!
They get some great acts from time to time but overall they're just another stand up concert venue. I don't know what makes these places think it's a good idea to have their patrons stand up for 5 hours to watch a show. I just know I would never patronize this place unless someone I really wanted to see was performing. I would give it one star but the shows are good.
Observatory! Get your act together and put some seats in this joint.
One of the venues in San Diego. The best thing besides the awesome sound is the Air Conditioning coming out of the floor throughout the building. Nothing is better then not sweating while enjoying a great show
I had a wonderful time at the observatory. Security did a quick and thorough search, felt safe coming to the venue. The sound system rocked and there is fans on the dance floor! The venue seemed well staffed and I even got help after the show from a very helpful security guard Quincy on the where abouts of friend of mine who had to leave. I will definitely be back to see some more of my favorite artist! I would absolutely reccomed this venue to a friend.
The staff is great!! Security is armed and ready to protect your lives. They have EMS on site to take care of any health emergencies. Lines form early so if you want front row show up 2+ hours before depending on how popular the band is. Very efficient and attendee focused. Parking is only $5 in the garage for events as well and free on the streets surrounding. Have fun when you go here. You deserve it!!
