Have to say that I'm really impressed!! Came to Valley View Casino Center to attend Neil Diamond Concert. People who haven't been here since the old days of the "Sports Arena" are in for a pleasant surprise. Venue was great for viewing concert...I sat in section 21A row 9 seats 6 and 7 with my girlfriend and we had great views!! Felt very much a part of the concert...it has a much more intimate feeling than I thought would be possible! Seats were comfortable (even roomy -- better than average theatre seats). Concessions were well staffed and offered a variety of food and drink. I had vodka and cranberry and it was $10...very reasonable! Got a monster bag of Carmel kettle corn and it was delicious!! I wasn't sure what to expect, but had an amazing time!! If you have an interest in seeing an act here, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
We went to a Gulls game (we have been attending Gulls games here for nearly 20 years minus a few years when they were not in town) and find that the seating is great! There are very few 'bad' seats, there are ample restrooms and kept reasonably clean. Parking is sufficient, but getting out of the lot can be a pain, depending on which and how many exit gates are open. The biggest complaint we have, is the food vendors. The food is not great, usually doesn't taste fresh and unusually expensive, even for an event. My best advice is to eat before you go, there have been several times I have heard of people being sick after eating there (including me once and my teenage boys a few times).
Went with coworkers to watch a hockey game. For an older arena this place is great! Tons of vendors offering multiple varieties of food and beer. Don’t make the mistake we made and settle for the first place you see. Walk around and pick exactly what you want. The bathroom lines can be long during the periods but they move quickly. Seats are very comfortable and cushioned. We had a great time even though the home team lost.
FYI - I listened to the suggestions that Valley View Center sent with my ticket -- I took an uber to he venue and was dropped off right in front of the venue. Ideal for someone who can't walk long distances..it might have been the distance of an average street block until I was in the building. Very pleased!! Look forward to other opportunities to attend concerts here!
First time to a Gulls game. Seems pretty decent for my first visit. Parking was a bit pricey but I got to park pretty close so it was worth it. Facility is pretty nice.
In all reality I will go back here since this is where all the headliners go , but I'll admit im currently leaning towards a lower rating because of the service we received here last time. Most of the ushers were kind and professional, but had one very unnecessarily rude one that watered down our experience. Crowd control was pretty mediocre and inconsistent , box office person , while nice, was pretty slow. Not his fault but they should definitely consider more manning considering the long line and the nature of the disputes he had to deal with. Bathrooms are pretty sad , kind of reminds me of an old public school bathroom and not particularly clean when we went . I should mention we went during quite a large performance , so it was very busy, but I feel attention to these small details would up the experience significantly.
