First time at this particular store and was very happy with their cat food selection much better than other locations, however, not impressed with the employee at checkout. Acted like he's not supposed to be helpful. Just stood there while I paid and packed my own bag as quickly as I could because there were other customers in line. So not helpful. Last time I go there.

I can honestly say this is the worst service I have ever had at any pet store in over 35 years of having pets. The magnitude of my concern is so high that I've decided to file a complaint with the State regarding potential abuse of one of our poodles. Even more concerning, the manager, an alleged "Johnathan" would not give me the name of his supervisor and said it was PETCO policy to do so, as he concomitantly cut me off and elevated his tone to the point of screaming. They used to have a good groomer there named Cristina who went to the Santee Store. Beware of the grooming services at the Sports Arena Services; your pet may never be the same. It's probably o.k. if you're buying dog food, but PETCO has a long way to teach its employees professionalism, customer service, and a sense of propriety.
I've been rubbed the wrong way by the groomer. She was rude to me and I can't imagine how she is with animals when nobody is watching if she's this rude to someone who comes in for an appointment. Was very rude to me when she asked if I even had an appointment and every step of the way was condescending. It's not even worth coming back, I'll just take my business elsewhere. It wasn't even a busy day when this incident happened.
