I went there 12 days ago to adopt 2 dwarf hamsters. I have a syrian hamster already and so I wanted a different breed. When I got there, I told the worker I wanted male hamsters because I didn't wanna risk having baby hamsters. The worker there didn't know how to tell the genders apart and I had to find out myself. With that said, he gave me garden gloves to wear and I had to individually pick them up to check and I couldn't find a male. (Reason why i'm giving a 2 star and not 1 is because the worker was quite nice when it came to me having to spend a long time checking) long story short, I got 2 female hamsters. I had one of them give birth after 10 days of having her. It didn't bother me because I knew the pet shop did its best to separate genders BUT today, the other hamster also gave birth so basically both the hamsters I got were pregnant when I got them. Now I'm dealing with 15+ hamster babies. Ultimately it was my fault for still getting the hamster after not being sure whether the cages did separate the genders BUT I would not recommend getting any hamsters there because chances are, they're pregnant! Go to petsmart or petco for hamsters because they're a lot more careful when it comes to separating genders
The people that work there are really nice and helpful. When I adoped a kitten they ordered the food I needed. They alway have nice, clean feeder mice too!
great place to shop for pets
