Very fresh food and a good beer selection. Good meats selection as well.
Good place to find hard to find, premium products. Caviar. Cheese. Expensive alcohol. Peach brandy, etc. Very expensive. Not a good place to buy staples.
Pointlessly high prices across the board. Even on basic staples. I just moved to the area (from 5 miles away) and the exact same items, same brand and everything, I bought on a regular basis elsewhere (even Whole Foods) have $0.50-$5 tacked on for seemingly no reason. I understand charging a premium price for a premium or unique product but every single thing here seems to be higher. Deli food is very average, as well as the food made in house. Positives: Layout of store is welcoming and organized, poke station is fresh, cheese selection is vast and the guys at the meat department always seem to be in a great mood.
Great grocery store! They have my favorite kombucha, protein bars and powders, and other vegan treats. The staff is friendly, and the prices are fair. I recommend Bristol Farms La Jolla. One request is that they add a meat substitute or tofu to the hot foods bar.
Fresh hatch chillies! Hot or mild, plus ready roasted. Sheep Milk Yogurts on special. Not to mention a lovely steak special. Really fresh veggies too. Probably good I don't live here. I'd be broke! Everyone is friendly and helpful.
