Now most is gone. Was once a parking lot infront. Parking issues now. Great planning
Cool way to travel between OC and SD. Train station similar in style to Union Station in LA. Historic in appearance and look. A must see.
It is a beautiful station but not well taken care of it. Dusty, urine smell, please take care of it!!
This is historic. Over 100 years old. Had more to offer travlelers
I have found that the Santa Fe Depot also has a branch of the San Diego Museum of contemporary art in the station adjacent to the mane terminal. It is worth it to visit the museum and spend a few minutes in the main lobby of the station. It's a trip back in time.
The station is nice. If you don't know where you're going it's a little hard to find someone to help you out. The Amtrak, MTS trolley, and the Coaster all come to this station. So you really have to pay attention to which track is operating which train. The fares are really reasonably priced, but each (the Amtrak, MTS Trolley, and Coaster) all have a different outdoor ticket machine, so make sure you buy your ticket from the right one. The Coaster ride is a really nice scenic ride, and when you get off at Oceanside (the last stop) you can go walk the pier and then catch the train back.
