This place is modern and everybody is friendly. So why the 3 stars you ask?

The ENTIRE staff at SD Modern is AWESOME! Dr. Al-Khouri is amazing at making sure you are comfortable and PAINLESS... Moving fast... Doing the job right... Making you feel good AND most importantly human. Thanks doc.
The good: My wife had anxiety about getting dental work done but the staff made her feel really comfortable which was a major plus.
Tie a steak around my neck... I'll play with lions. Staple money to my shirt and I'll walk down skid row. 2am dark parking lot... Cake walk. DENTISTS... Have me curled up in a corner asking for baby Jesus.
Amazing/friendly staff! Had an abscessed tooth and they took me right in. Follow up appointment and everything was taken care of. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!
I had an urgent tooth issue and Dr Al-Khouri adjusted her schedule and got me an appointment within an hour. Very professional from check in (Jasmean? - excellent) to examination to care. Tiffany did an awesome job. Great care. Thanks for saving my trip/conference.
It took me a little while to find a dentist in San Diego, When I did, last July, I couldn't be happier. Dr. Al-Khouri is amazing. I saw two other dentists who tried to upsell/deceive. She is very open and honest and conservative in her approach--she won't recommend anything you don't need while also doing an amazing job in preventing future issues. The whole staff is very kind as well.
So talking about an amazing experience? If everyone treated patients as they do - the world and our teeth would be in much better shape.

It's not often you find a place where the people make you feel good because they care.
The bad: The filling for my wife took several attempts to fix after getting the filling done here.
