We went to exchange a defective item this last weekend. Instead of processing the order as a exchange, they processed it as a refund. No big deal. But when we went to buy the same item again they brought the exact item we just returned. They were trying to sell us the same item we just returned as defective. So we left. The whole process to two hours. Ordering on Amazon for next day delivery took under a minute. Lesson learned.
Wonderful service, prices are lower than anywhere else with promo codes that they sent you via email when you sign up for free online. I order online and pick up in 15 minutes. Returning is very easy. People at the counter are kind and friendly. Highly recommended. Best place for electronics in San Diego.
The best place to shop for specialty electronics, computers, DVDs, software, small appliances, etc. Get on the email list for great savings opportunities. Watch the prices though, not everything is a good deal. But nowhere matches the selection available here. If you build your own computers, this is THE place to go for great selection of components. Minus one star for gouging prices on cables and cords.
Fry's is an outdated pit of despair. It's gloomy, dark and poorly lit. It's ill organized. I stood in line for 20 minutes to return something because only one person was doing returns and didn't have the wherewithal to call for assistance for the long line of people waiting. Then I watched her flip through a DOS menu to return my items, and was told I had to then go to the cashier line to get my refund. What the hell Fry's??? It's 2017. It takes less than five minutes to return something at Target, and they just put the money back on my card...
I absolutely love Fry's Electronics because of their great selection and overall prices. Fry's is the last of the giant electronic stores in Southern California. I do everything I can to support our own local businesses, so I will always try and buy it at Fry's instead of an Internet retailer.
