It is better to come in on an appointment to see a doctor. If you are a walk-in, it takes time to see at doctor and sometimes you may not be seen that day. It is located in Downtown San Diego and it is accessible by buses, trolleys, or walking
A little shaky but nice manager! Pisano is the best and charge nurse is a head case. she thought blood thinner was an inhaler, they forgot me n a room for two hours. Their text reminder feature is great and they do take walk-ins. Watch out, they can only address one situation at a time and will make an appointment for paperwork, then review it, then see you. So you may get three or four appointments with medical to get one thing covered. Getting records is impossible and also front desk, one lady is a real gem ;) Nurses assistants can be a bit short tempered and not the greatest at customer service, if they get snappy get the head talk to the Dr or NP and request someone nicer. Remember you are the patient!
But now on to my visit. Doctor Tafara was over an hour late, would not explain anything, nothing. And told me to eat more simple sugars, that's crazy, like legit crazy.
Then I got called saying my results are more serious than expected. I'm like ok can you tell me what it is and they say no you have to come in and see a doctor, I'm like okay.
Stay far away.
You can't get anyone on the phone, I've been waiting for over an hour. I guess I'll be skipping this appointment and finding an new Dr. and clinic!
I will continue my rating later, as it is very late and time for me to rest. The Downtown Family Health Center is a good place to go of you need any type of medical treatment
I get there and they say they don't know why I'm here. BTW Doctor Gordon this time seemed like he didn't know what was going on in general. Turns out a different, third doctor misread my results.
The way this place treats it's patients is criminal. I needed to come here for an appointment because my regular doctor was unavailable, big mistake. They treat the homeless people that come in here like animals. I'm not homeless but I saw and heard the way they talk down to people and it disgusted me.
