On one occasion I was just walking by on my way to my storage unit. As a hobby I make art jewelry and was currently having trouble sizing rings because all the labels had worn off my ring mandrel. I just so happened to have it in my bag as I was walking by and rather spontaneously decided to walk in and ask if they'd help me identify the size of my mandrel. The receptionist was more than happy to have one of their specialists come out and he helped me very quickly. I felt welcomed from the moment I walked in even though they knew I had no intention of making a purchase.
Why do I rate Leo's as a 5-star establishment? The merchandise-mix is great, in that estate-jewelry is well represented here. As a collector of estate-jewelry, I find that prices are more than fair and competitive. As a designer of jewelry (a designer who is not, however, a metal-smith himself), I utilize the skills of Leo's jewelry-design / casting / fabricating / department. And because many of the estate-pieces that I have bought at places other than Leo Hamel often need repair and / or refurbishing, I often utilize Leo's repair department, as well. In short, I love this store!

Another time I went in looking to buy an engagement ring for my partner. I had no idea what I was looking for specifically but they were very patient with me. I had the individual attention of one of the ladies behind the counter the whole time and she never made me feel a burden even after I probably had her show me almost every ring they had in the displays lol. I finally found the right one but asked if they had the same thing with a different setting. In the end they custom altered the ring I liked, sized it, and engraved the inside for me and it was ready super fast. I later looked online and the only rings that I could find that were similar were $200 more than what I paid.
I also discovered that they even buy all sorts of jewelry too. And they give much better deals than any pawn shop for sure.
Throughout the process, Logan was great to communicate with and even made sure to remind us to bring the ring back for a cleaning a few days before the wedding to make sure it was super sparkly!
