Smaller location, agree on the aging selection to choose from. It does get loud sometimes as the kids section is easily tjeir best aspect. If you're looking for a place to settle in for focused work, its a toss-up.
Nice but smaller than some of the other lubraries. They do a lot of free things for kids to do.
The bank illegally stole my home, the government destroyed my business along with many other businesses, and now I am homeless, and the library has become my office, because it has everything I need to start another business, and next store is the YMCA for showers and excercise.
My 2nd visit (and now last visit) to this library was to pick up a book they put on hold for me. After looking at the book, I decided it wasn't going to be what I needed so I brought it to the front desk to ask what needs done with the book since I didnt need it afterall (do i leave it on the hold shelf? I didn't want to leave it on a chair or put it back if they needed to run it through their system first). I was told I had to check it out and then check it back in. I was confused as this policy makes no sense. I told her again that I didn't want to check it out and she replied they have to do it that way or their system locks. I told her no, I dont want a book on my account that i never checked out. She was frustrated with me at this point and said its easy enough to check it out and return it. Then her coworker said she could clear the hold, but then needed my card. I asked for a receipt, and this employee was also unfriendly and said she couldn't give me one. All this because I put a hold on a book, came in and decided agaisnt it?? Both times Ive left feeling like I was treated badly and I've never had experiences like these at any library before. Ill stick with poway or rb where they are friendly and so far, their policies seem more sensible. Also, if they had explained their reasoning a bit better without attitidues, I dont think I'd have felt so defensive about being made to check the book out.
Both times I've been there, this one lady at the front desk has an attitude. After my last visit I got an attitude from both ladies at the front desk and I'm over it at this point. There is no need for treating the public poorly to feel good about yourself or because you think you have some power.
This library has an excellent young children's areas, complete with computers, books, puzzles, and toys. The used book store also has a decent selection.
On an up note, the one gentleman I spoke with there to open my library account was friendly and professional.
