Beautiful and spacious!I haven't been to a library in years (you know, with the internet being around and all that...), but I never realized how beautiful the CA Central Library was! I've been to the Central Library in San Diego, so I know big libraries and I've done research there too. This place looks a lot more modern, and there are catalog computers EVERYWHERE! No need to wait in line or for your number to be called here. The directory is easy to follow, and the staff is very helpful.I will definitely be doing my music writing here quite often!

Absolutely love this place!. It's gorgeous!. I would have marked 5 stars but I will tell you why after. The architecture is brilliant!. Every floor has something unique and amazing to look at!. The Windows and the lighting and all of the things you can do. The children's section is amazing and I am always so pleased with how many computers there are for the kids. And adults with no child can not be in that area so it has a great sense to protect our children while they enjoy being kids.

Nice place to study! Amazing architecture! But too many homeless made the place a little risky in terms of spreading diseases

Modern public library with very nice selection of children's books, available computers, and play amenities. Lots of seating for children and adults.

Tips: Parking during a Padres game is $40 if you arrive more than one hour before or less than two hours before the end of the game. You also need a key for the children's restrooms, which are located near the librarian/staff's desk. There is a designated table for early did in the children's area.

The only negative is that there are a lot of homeless people surrounding the area. It is kind of disappointing. They do try and make sure that all of the luggage and household items don't come Into the library so that's good. Most of the people even homeless ones are kind and never bother anyone but I can see if your walking by why you would choose to stay away. Don't let this deter you. This library is amazing and there is so much you can do. You can study or rent out a private study room. The bathrooms can get crowded depending on what level you are on. But for the most part they keep them pretty clean. Come check it out. I love coming here with the kids. There's an eating area outside on the patio it's a great place to grab a bite to eat with friends.

Spacious, beautiful, and well-maintained library. The kids area is great too. Tons of open computers and quiet nooks to read.
