This hotel is located right at the entrance to the Gaslamp Quarter. Lots of food options around (including one in the hotel) and everything is in walking distance. The San Diego Convention Center is directly across the street and is easily accessible. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well kept. The staff is courteous and ensures you have everything you need.
Very nice hotel. My room was comfortable, but being close to the street and elevator, loud at times. The front desk was very friendly and helpful with information about the area. My room was always clean after the maid visited. The location of the hotel cannot be beat. It is directly across the street from the convention center, the trolley stops right in front, and the best locations in the Gaslamp Quarter are within walking distance. There is a very nice pool and a small but functional fitness center. If you hop the trolley, some of San Diego's best attractions are only minutes away from the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp, including the zoo and Balboa Park. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.
I can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel. Firstly, my flight arrived super early and I got to the hotel around 9:00 AM - because they had a room available, they had no problem letting me check in early (mind you, check in isn't until 3PM typically). On the 2nd day, my key didn't work because I think I'd had it around my cell phone all day, and they were able to quickly give me a new key and even took the liberty of sending someone up from engineering to make sure my unlock mechanism on the door didn't have a low battery. All of this coupled with the fact that every employee of this hotel are just the nicest human beings I've ever met - and it all makes for an awesome hotel experience. They even checked in with me multiple times via text (hello convenience) to make sure I was comfortable and enjoying my stay. It's located in the heart of the Gaslamp, so you're within walking distance of all of the amazing areas of downtown San Diego. I will absolutely be staying here again, and highly recommend it to anybody visiting the area.
Perfect location in San Diego! Next to the convention center, a block away from the bay, tons of restaurants and bars to walk to, nice views from the rooms, 60" TV's in the room. The Continental breakfast buffet is excellent! Would definitely stay at this hotel again. Only downside is parking; it's valet only at $49/night
Overall a good stay at this hotel. Notably, the second floor is rather noisy, especially room 224. However, hotel staff were helpful in getting me a new room, which was quieter and perfectly fine. Great location near conference hotel and places to eat. Reasonable rate for the stay. Overall recommended.
