So if you have a rental car- score due to the rooms being less than 100 a night. If you don't have a rental car- prepare to walk a lot (cabs and an Uber cannot get on the base)...
Great place to stay with unbeatable view. Well maintained and staff are friendly. For unknown reasons, the fire alarms went off several times in a week.
Rooms right off the water. You can listen to the waves while you relax. Be aware that some of the rooms don't have heating or air conditioning. Most of the year this won't be an issue. The rooms are old and basic but nice. The suites have separate bedroom and living room areas. Some balconies you share with your neighbor.
I had an outstanding stay with Navy Gateway, check in was smooth and stay was lovely. Didn't want to leave. Definitely coming back!
Old building is worth no elevator. View of city, bridge and bay. Ocean breeze and love the sound of the waves. Comfy beds. Clean and nice space. Very friendly and helpful staff
Not the absolute best location with respect to doing things out in town, it's a 2.5 mile trek to the main gate.
