We have been coming here on and off for many many years now, and the improvements from then to now are fantastic. This is such a great location, which is what keeps bringing us back!! Close to the beach, bars and restaurants.

The man in the front office denied our request to check in early, so we had to wait until 3pm, when he promptly left for the day. The young woman who started at 3, had to check in about 8 parties. She was overwhelmed to say the least. She gave us keys to a room that was already occupied, and then a room that the A/C was not working. We finally accepted a third room that the A/C unit wasn't working, but the window had a screen, so we put a fan in the window overnight. Also, this room had a kitchenette. The next day, I had the office replace the A/C unit and hadn't had any problems for the rest of our stay.

The rooms were nice and recently updated with fresh paint and flooring, and the bathroom was spacious with a large shower.

This hotel in Pacific Beach is very decent I give it 5 stars because of the location and the cleanliness of the actual place. Inside was very nice and very comfortable. My room had a mini kitchen and stove along with a refrigerator that helped a lot. The kids love the room. It's literally right next to the beach. No issue with parking for guests. They also have a swimming pool and an outdoor shower to get off the sand. I recommend you don't lose your key because if you do and there's a lady up front that's kind of always in a bad mood and she will make you pay $5 for it. LOL other than that everything was nice I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

I stayed for two nights at the inn. The rooms were nice with a good thing and comfy beds. The bathroom doors didn't lock, which wasn't a big deal but a small inconvenience nonetheless. It is also very well positioned and you can walk to a lot of places.

We reserved and paid for 3 rooms with kitchenettes, and one room with handicap access, but were told upon checking in that there were no rooms with kitchenettes. Regarding the handicap access room, there was a small step in front of the door and someone was parked in front of the room which made it very difficult to get in and out of the room with his powered chair.

Parking was difficult (we used a traffic cone to keep our spot in front of our room), a coffee pot was provided, but no coffee; we had to buy our own. We had to use our own towels when taking a shower.

I have stayed in many hotels along PB in in La Jolla the service here is exceptional every person in countered at the front desk is very professional and kind and willing to help when asked for an early check in they said it was no problem as long as the room was available / which it was I just did not happen to need it early. I’ve noticed that the complaints on some of these reviews are very minuscule the rooms are cleaned daily by the maids and even if the maid is not cleaning her room there’s always towels and other amenities available At the front. The ocean is viewable from my window and my room is huge brand new remodel inside along with huge windows along one wall that open up to a sliding door. Best PB hotel experience I’ve had I will be definitely coming back again to visit with my whole family so that I could use the pool more definitely recommend. They can even accommodate late checkouts more than any hotel I’ve ever dealt with around here in my life. A+ for this little gem I don’t know if any other place this beautiful spacious close to the beach with parking that’s free and coffee and a light continental breakfast every morning. If you’re looking for an amazing place to stay by the by the ocean in Pacific beach and you haven’t found this place yet then you’re definitely missing out . Better five-star service and staff than some five-star hotels. Tom is the man.
