The bed is very comfortable and rooms are quiet.

I travel quite a bit and love when I find a hidden jewel like this place!

Great chilled out hotel with excellent vibe. The restaurant has decent food and wine/beer selection. The AC in the room is a little outdated so it can be a little loud.

If you are in San Diego do yourself and favor and stay here and enjoy the mid century feeling that surrounds you.

All in all it's a very good budget option for San Diego, as long as you are aware of what you are booking. I will probably be back.

It's good for what it is. Basically this is an old motel (in an area full of really old motels) that has been refurbished with a distinctive mid century look. It's fairly comfortable and quite funky, but please consider that this low cost alternative so, if you are looking for a luxurious accommodation, this is not it. My stay was OK, but there are some limitations: 1) the AC is very old and noisy; 2) if you have a room facing the main road, it can be loud; 3) Bathrooms are a little dated.

The menu is diverse with choices for just about everyone. They have a pretty good selection of wines, local craft beers and their cocktails are a treat to your palate.

Really good food and drinks in a retro, mid century modern restaurant/hotel. Rooms are small but decorated with style and are comfy. Fun and funky, love it!

I just had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at The Pearl a few months back and I can tell you that both the staff and the venue is exceptional. The rooms are super surfy and cool, the venue layout is very kitchy and cool, and the facility photographs very well. There are lots of great little spots for artistic photos, and the layout of the hotel makes for a very intimate and fun wedding or special event. The staff was on point the whole not, the food was great and everyone had a good time. 5 stars for The Pearl, if you are looking for a venue for your wedding day look no further!
