This place was incredible. For a low price we toured a number of historic ships, including a Russian and an American cold-war era submarines (I was a submariner, so special for me). Was a great day.
This is an amazing museum that offers an unforgettable experience. The whole tour can last about 3h through the different ships and both submarines. The crew is great and extremely nice. There's a sovietic submarine with audio guidance telling a very interesting fact about history. Worth the visit
I also highly recommend the boat tour. A view of a (usually moored) Nimitz class carrier, several ships of the Pacific Fleet in view, and of course a close up view of the USS Midway, which is just a short walk away from the Maritime Museum. I did both museums in about four hours, but you could so it in half the time if youre fast.
This is an absolutely amazing museum, and I would say to anyone visiting the area to stop here. From the Cold War era Russian sub to the hand made replica of the Spanish galleon, it would be worth twice the cost.
Amazing museum via inside of several different ships and submarines. You get to learn about the different vessels as you walk through them. You can even sign up to actually sail on some of them. My whole family had an amazing time; would love to go again!
Great place to visit. The Soviet submarine looks bad from the outside but it's a great tour if you walk through. I also recommend whale watching from the "America" sail boat. Well kept boat with a nice crew that is full of info.
