A good family park. 2 basketball courts, however they are not lighted to play at night. Also, no bathrooms. Easy for men to go behind a bush. Lived here since 1991, has never been a problem ie. Gangs, drugs. Plastic bags provided to PLEASE clean up after your pet. Large grass field, and 3 1/2 laps is a mile for many walkers that utilize it.
Great place for kids... an outside workout or just relaxing. Good size, play area for kids, gazebos for small events, basket ball court... Great view all around. Enough parking is available.

This is a fully equipped park with party space for rent and for community events. Concrete walking paths that are laced on the side with exercise apparatuses and large gazebos with picnic tables, benches, and even trash cans for hot charcoal. There are basketball courts, table-tennis tables, clean restrooms and fully equipped kids sanded and soft cushioned play grounds. There is an entrance to hiking tracks that take you up the Black Mountain top that is dominated by large satellite dishes and antenna towers or its lower Miners Ridge over looking million dollar newly built homes. The park itself is high up on a hill top (hence the name) and breezy, over looking Carmel High School's and Black Mountain Middle School's football and baseball yards, surrounding residential neighborhoods, and spetacular views. Although the park closes at 7pm, 5 pm on the weekend , it is well lighted and there are people here playing basketball, walking, and playing late into the night! This park is very popular and a hidden gem for the locals!
Awesome park for my toddler. I never knew about this place but I will definitely be back- has everything a family would want!
