The best soul food ever! Great job Bonnie Jean
The environment was okay, I expected a hole in the wall and that is what it was. The food took a long time which I thought was great as it would be fresh. The fried pork chops had absolutely no seasoning at all. Not even salt. I think the greens were just boiled in water with nothing else and again, no seasoning. My catfish was at best okay as it was obviously farm raised. The "children's meal" consisted of three flats from chicken wings (hahaha) and six french fries. I could not believe that. The cole slaw was seasoned but they put cilantro in it, that was a nasty first. My husband took about three bites of his food. It was just awful. I drove a bit to get there and spent 35.00 on our lunch, I will not be going back.
Good Down home experience! Customer service, excellent. I had the Oxtails dinner; yams, greens, corn bread. My son had chix and waffles. He's telling me it was excellent! I left with fish dinner to go, its new years eve. I need that late night to feed that liquor. Oh I almost forgot, the red kool-aid! Was the Bomb! I came down from L.A. well worth it.
Black owned! Good food! The only soul food spot in town with the best food and people!
Great service. Good southern style with all the sides you love from the holidays or Sunday dinner. Everything I've had has been amazing. I usually order one of the dinners with sides.
