This happened today, at 2 pm. Hopefully this will bring manager's attention to this particular employee.
We live nearby and really wanted to try this place out to have a new go-to spot.
I drove to San Diego from Seattle with Colima's Carne Asada burrito on my mind. The burrito did not disappoint. Just as good as I remembered. The amazing salsas and grilled onions ans peppers. One of my favorite places in all of San Diego.
My family and I love their delicious food. I like that they are consistent with the food tasting exactly like I have come to expect from the first meal experience and they are consistent with their customer service. Forewarning it gets really busy at lunch and dinner. Don't be surprise to see one of their cashier coming to your car and taking your order for faster service. I have been a customer for close to 12 years this coming January, since I moved to Normal Heights.
We have never been to this place and weren't familiar with the menu, so when we got to it, we needed a moment to look through it because there was no chance to see it before you're in front of the speaker. Without a greeting the lady asks me if I'm ready to order. I politely asked to give me a second to see the menu.
Love this place. Rice and beans are the best thing ever. Super cheap but not sketchy!
In less that 30 seconds she asks me again if I'm ready. I ask again to give me just a tiny bit of time. Before we knew it, she walked out of her door storming past our car, visibly mad and irritated, to take another person's order, showing what an inconvenience we were to her.
That's unfortunate that one person can ruin an experience for you.
The salsa bar was great! Usually I don't care for the salsas because most people equate heat to flavor (and therefore the salsa is flavorless). However, this isn't the case here! The value is good, too - two burritos, two tacos, four rolled tacos and chips for $20. It all tasted great, the potato taco was a nice change of pace and the California burrito wasn'tgreasy at all. They had a large menu to choose from and I would definitely be interested in going back to try their other items.
With that being said, we just drove off.
P.S. a lot of people talk about reasonable prices. In Seattle a bean laden burrito will cost you double and not half as good.
