I lived in Europe when I was growing up and have such fond memories of patisseries and boulangeries that seemed to be on every street corner. Sadly this is not on my street corner, but it's as close to perfection as I have seen in the U.S. I think they must import their butter. They make exquisite cheesecakes, eclairs, creme brûlée, bread, quiche, cookies.... The fruit tarts are exquisite: light and airy and just the right balance of tangy and sweet. The croissants are spot on, but The Absolute Best Thing I Have Ever Eaten are the palmieres. Each are roughly the size of Rhode Island and are buttery, flaky, crispy and caramelized. I generally buy three for my family and three for me. (Okay, well, one for them to split and the other five for me.) They have a darling little dine-in area, creative and tasty sandwiches, attentive service and good coffee. A neighborhood gem.
The best cake I have every tasted! I have never ate here before, but gave it a shot for my sons 1st birthday, asked if they can tone down the sweetness and decorate it blue ombre.. they delivered! Everyone loved it. The baker and staff were very nice, I really had no idea to what I wanted and they were very patient and reassuring me it will be great. I will forever be using this bakery for custom cakes.
My French neighbor said "the pastries taste like home" she comes often.
Great quality breakfast, lunch and dinner! Pastries are very good, the almond croissant is to die for. Breakfast Crepes is my favorite.
Love this comfortable french pastry shop. Tasty omelets, serve yourself coffee, to the bakery case w yummy choices. My favorite is the fruit tarts.
Restaurant 'atmosphere' is not great but quality of food makes up for it.
I know this place is most popular for brunch, but dinner is also delicious! I've had sandwiches, pasta, paninis, and salads here and loved them all. This is my favorite spot for desert and coffee, all the pastries I've tried have been delectable.
