Service is hit or miss. The bartender got in my face after I asked him to make me a drink 'off duty'. Apparently that wasn't the thing to do because moments later the bouncer was hauling me off the floor with an arm tied behind my back. Ordinarily I'd have complained, but somewhere between both bouncers threatening to 'kick my ass' and a bartender who refused to make a drink, I guess I just lost interest.
Bar Pink is the first stop on any self respecting punkers bar crawl the bar is owned by local legend Swami John Reis who you may unremember from such acts as rocket from the crypt, Hot snakes, Drive like jehu, The night marchers, and things his enchanting wife may or may not have called him in anger. Maybe you know him from his radio work or better yet a little show called Yo Gabba Gabba. The Swami is a showman and all around talented devil who features some of the best music you're going to hear in SD. For me, a Bar Pink stop is mandatory before all concerts. A tiki or two, a rousing game of pac man, some good music, good people, goodnight.
*Also bring cash, or the bartenders will try to kill you with their minds. I think we have time from an evolutionary standpoint before one of them develops telekinesis. Just play it safe.

We went to the dance floor and when we came back to our table our newly order 4 drinks were gone. We told the server and he didnt care. Nad, bad..
Great dive bar. Chill atmosphere, live music, and drink deals with a lovely heavy hand. They didn't have a cover when we went 10pm on a weekday, but I don't know if it changes. I definitely recommend.
