I've been coming to this place for years(decades?) for dim sum! Great variety, excellent service, very good quality! Be careful when you park in the lot, you will get a ticket ($40) in the parking structure if you don't pay ahead, even though there is a sign saying the first two hours are free. It doesn't apply to the structure! The actual lot is fine though. The pork shumai goes fast, so be sure to request it if you don't see it!
I usually go to Chinatown In LA, but decided to try a local spot. They do have a good variety from sticky rice to crab balls. For 2 people the bill was $97.. for the same entrees in Chinatown I'm looking at $45 tops. I'm looking at the bill and seeing that some entrees are more than others. The 2 small crab balls were $10.. I had to ask the manager, and she had no solution. A place that I have been to once..but never again. If one person is detoured from this review. I'll be happy.

Excellent mid-week dinner! We had the steamed fish (live steamed is sooooo much better than fish you get just about anywhere else!), Shanghai rice cake, and pea leaf greens. Relaxing meal, great food, surprisingly easy parking (compared to weekends) - all around winner!
One of the best places to get dim sum. Everything is usually good and fresh. My favorite are the footballs (must try)! Staff are very friendly and fun, sometimes when it is busy (weekends) it can take a while to flag down a server or the dim sum cart you want. Great place for a family meal.
I get the distinct sense that this place was much better 10 years ago. It was a little sad for dinner on a Sunday evening. It's a big dining hall with garish lighting, an unused stage with stuff piled on it, and a projection screen hanging on one wall. It'd be one thing if the food was fantastic, but it just wasn't. Perhaps lunchtime dim sum still rocks, but I would say go elsewhere on Convoy St. for dinner. There are so many great options!
