I went in to have a cleaning, was told I have no cavities but have minor periodontitis coming on. This is my fault for waiting over 2 years to get an actual cleaning. The reason for the low review really stems from the service staff, and the feeling that I was being overcharged for their services. After insurance was take into consideration, I would pay between 600-700 dollars to have my gums scraped for the minor periodontitis. I’m not familiar with dentistry or treatments, but I thought this was expensive and being a recent college grad, don’t have that much cash to throw around willy-nilly. I was made to believe that this was the only option, and while the main doctor was nice, the insurance woman and receptionist had a somewhat indignant attitude towards me, especially after I voiced that I couldn’t just open up my wallet and throw down 600 bucks. I was also told on the phone that they would accept my insurance (I’m still on my fathers plan) and I asked multiple times before coming in if I needed any other info. I was told I wouldn’t. Then I come in and am asked for my fathers social security number to verify, which I think makes sense but it would have been nice to know this coming in. Surprisingly, I don’t know my fathers social security number off the top of my head...regardless, my experience here wasn’t enjoyable. What I thought was going to be an hour long cleaning turned into a 2.5 hour session with me being sales-pitched to do a “deeper cleaning” of the gums, instead of just a regular cleaning. If you don’t ask for fluoride at the end, they won’t give it to you.
Wow are we talking about the same place? Well I just got work done a few days ago so I'll see how I feel in a month or so. So far I feel great and had a pretty good experience here. I like how accommodating their days and hours are. The staff was nice and knowledgable. I'm a curious person and they patiently answered my many random questions about what they were doing and their tools. A few seem to be in training though. The doctor had to direct one of the assistants several times about where to place the air & water hose. It wasn't very bothersome though. During my cleaning/polishing, however, I had to keep reminding them to suck out my extra saliva. Overall I had a great experience. I mostly knocked off a star because when I made the appointment I was told that a basic checkup would be free through my insurance. When I was done though I found out I was only covered 80% not 100%. I got a few other things done and they offer great payment plans so I still left satisfied.

from 2014 to 2015 dr pham did quit a bit of dental work on my wife but not mounting up to 100,000 dollars!!! you see back in 2013 when her father passed he left her a special needs trust but this dr pham took her for around 100,000 of dental work!!! thus charging the trust debit card 2000 a day plus 150 dollar convience fee every time!!!! well i got news for this dentist due to the fact that we are seeing a much better dentist for her and due to the fact two root canals had to be redone and 6 crowns broke in pieces from dr phams work cheap materials!!! i just submitted a complaint to the dental board of CA i also found out of coarse you can look it up under the business name it is a fictious business license by the way all we need is those recipts the recipts from the new dentist looks like dr pham is going to have to pay us some money back!!! so you know what dr pham pay up because this isn't just going away!!! you got the dental board after you know and they will make you pay us once those recipts are submitted!!! You know i hate to slam someone but when people take advantage of others espically when they are operating under a phony business license then its time to take action!!!! PERIOD!!!!
