Ive had many bad experience with this court house in the past, but they seem to be steadily improving. The administrative staff are the real superstars here. They treated me very nice and made my visit so much easier. i left a one star before , but have increased it to a 4. I i actually left with some motivation this time. Thank you to the entire administrative staff 4th, 5th, and 6th floors for being so kind. Danielle and Christina are awesome employees.

I NOTICED IF YOU APPLY FOR CALWORKS ALL OF A SUDDEN YOU WILL START GETTING CHILD SUPPORT PAYMENTS. ISN'T THAT INTERESTING! AND THAT IS ONLY BECAUSE THE CALWORKS PROGRAM REQUIRES YOU TO RELINQUISH YOUR CHILD SUPPORT PAYMENTS TO THE COUNTY WHILE RECEIVING CASH AID. SO ESSENTIALLY SDCSS WILL ONLY ENFORCE A CHILD SUPPORT ORDER WHEN IT IS IN THE COUNTY'S BEST INTEREST TO GO AFTER YOUR MONEY. NOW REMEMBER, IF YOU FIND YOURSELF IN A SITUATION WHERE YOU "NEED" TO APPLY FOR CALWORKS AND ASK FOR ASSISTANCE, THIS MEANS YOU ARE ALREADY IN A SITUATION WHERE YOU ARE MOST VULNERABLE AND COULD REALLY USE THE CHILD SUPPORT PAYMENTS FROM THE MISSING PARENT. INSTEAD THE COUNTY LEARNS YOU APPLIED FOR CASH AID, STARTS TAKING THE STEPS TO LOCATE THE MISSING PARENT TO ENFORE THE ORDER (WHICH THEY LOCATE THE MISSING PARENT PRETTY FAST), THEN TAKE THE CHILD SUPPORT PAYMENTS FROM YOU WHEN RECEIVING CASH AID. NOW ONCE YOU GO OFF CASH AID THE CHILD SUPPORT PAYMENTS SLOWLY CEASE. AGAIN, WHY IS THAT? IF THE CHILD SUPPORT AGENCY IS THERE TO HELP ENFORCE CHILD SUPPORT COURT ORDERS FOR THE COMMUNITY AND WERE ABLE TO LOCATE THE PARENT SO FAST WHEN THE PERSON APPLIED FOR CALWORKS, THEN WHY ARE THEY NOT TAKING THESE SAME STEPS FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT APPLYING FOR CALWORKS. THE REASON IS THEY HAVE THEY HAVE NO VESTED INTEREST TO WAIST THEIR TIME AND RESOURCES TO GO AFTER THE MISSING PARENT. THEY HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR YEARS. THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS DON'T EXPECT CHILD SUPPORT SERVICES TO ENFORE CHILD SUPPORT ORDERS. IF THE MISSING PARENT IS MAKING PAYMENTS ON THEIR OWN THEN YOU WILL RECEIVE PAYMENTS. IF THE MISSING PARENT CHOOSES NOT TO PAY, DON'T EXPECT CHILD SUPPORT SERVICES TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT UNLESS YOU ARE ON CASH ASSISTANCE.
These people treat you like you are the scum of the earth. They threaten you and they are not even attorneys or paralegals. It is sooo illegal to call and threaten people and NOBODY does anything. These so called COMMISIONERS are not even judges. They are people not even appointed by the people. Just ordinary attorneys with no experience abusing the power not even knowing or studying the law. The county attorneys do not even know your case and its horrible
I have had dcss of san diego responsible for my case for about um almost 10 years and its been the same old same old never return calls. Non custodial parent doesnt pay 2 months go by no follow up , i dont collect aid but yet for some reason i cant seem to get the tax return when clearly its states as ordered amounts of arrears go to custodial party first , i ask about payment disbursment or money not being put in account always the run around call umbuds 16 times nothing happens . im being super patient ...... Hopefully after supervisors read if they ever read reviews they will start inforcing policys of employees to do there jobs , .. All we can do is hope! .
