So I was looking for a car about a month ago and narrowed down two Corollas for my girlfriend. My first visit was to Richard's Car Co in Escondido. Richard was more than professional and has beautiful cars at great prices. Long story short I bought a 2015 LE Plus Corolla with 5400miles at $13997. Before I bought the car I told Richard I wanted to inquire about this Corolla in El Cajon which was at a dealership called Japanese Auto Sales. I spoke with AJ Ahmadi about a 2016 Corolla LE with around 5000 miles for $12000. I noticed right away the car fax was not listed (some dealers do and some do not). I called him anyway and the first thing I said was "I do not want a car with any structural damage". He assured me the only damage ever done to the car had to do with a right fender, which had been replaced with a brand new one. I went to say "that does not sound too bad but I do not want a car with any significant damage history. Can you send me the car fax?" Aj Ahmadi went to say I had to purchase it but assured me the car is pretty much like new. He said "Just come down and I will show you". I live 40 mins north of El Cajon and was just about waste my time when I called Richard (the dealer I ended up buying from) and told him the situation. He sent me a car fax immediately, which showed SALVAGED. MAJOR ACCIDENT. I was so mad. I told AJ I did not appreciate his lies and the lack of respect for my time. He bluntly replied "I told you the car was salvaged, but not a total loss". I mean some people. This is one of those shady dealerships it seems like. AJ is definitely a snake in the grass.
