*** Note.. the Sat, Sun, and Tuesday hours are temporary***Made the voting experience smooth and carefree. I early voted, on Friday. I was a bit nervous, because I requested to not be a mail in voter through emails, and wasn't sure... With a line (surprised a few of us that they were averaging 1000-2000 people per day) it still took less than 45 minutes, from start to finish. Great "new" building, ample places to fill out ballots, extremely helpful, efficient workers, and signs saying , more or less "..go this way, to vote..." (The County Operations Campus can be daunting). You can even get there, easily, using public transportation (and I live as far south as you can get, in the county).
Very poor response time after initial great response in helping me to register to vote while on an extended overseas trip. Had to travel to American Consulate twice to get federal voting form. Got email with ballot one day before pr side till election after I had already submitted my ballot at the Consulate. Very disappointed
Very helpful and informative over the phone.
My room mate required a paper ballot in 2016 election because he was to be out of California on vacation on election day.
My son is a registered Independent and you refused to give him a democratic ballot 4 times in the last presidential primary. I did some research and found out there was pending voter suppression court case on this issue. I spoke with the attorney and he said it was a new law and his firm offered to do training to all Counties but San Diego was the only county that refused training!! On the 4th rejection I felt like a black person trying to vote in the 1950s. I finally yelled and asked for a manager and told her I am a lawyer and I Know the law and you are suppressing my son's right to vote. She very begrudgingly gave us the ballot. Are you now following California law or are you still doing voter suppression ??
I called the S D County Registrar of voters and spoke with a man named Guirllermo. He was always polite, helpful and retrieved all information about which I asked him in addition to getting a paper ballot out to my room mate.
It is rare when I give anybody 5 stars but this man certainly deserves it.
