'High end' indeed. Called around north park to get my state bicycle assembled. The bikes come 90% assembled and they quoted me $20-$30 more than other shops in the area.
Highly recommend cal coast if you love mountain biking like I do.
Charlie hooked me up with the bike of my dreams, he stood by me listend to what I wanted and the budget I had. I walked out with more of a bike than I ever expected and still within my budget I had planed. There was no pressure and they let me demo the bikes I was interested in before I made my final decision.
Fantastic bike shop. Never any pressure there, and they put up with my indecisive ass for far too long before I bought from them. They've helped me out on some repairs I've done myself, and I give them my business whenever I need to buy anything, even though I know I can save a few bucks online. Some things are worth having around, and a good neighborhood bike shop is one of those things.
Super knowledgeble mechanics, more than reasonable prices, and an easy-going atmosphere. Definitely one of my favorite bike shops in San Diego. If you need any work done to your bike or are looking for a new mountain bike, Cal Coast should be on your short list of shops to check out.
One of the best bike shops I've ever been to. Enjoyed a great demo bike on my trip, tore up some local trails courtesy of some fantastic recommendations by the staff, and will definitely be back. Refreshing to see such a well run, dedicated shop!
