Beware if you are under 25 and don't have a credit card, they won't allow you to rent, no exceptions. There was of course no clear information on the website regarding this matter. The desk attendant was very unhelpful and didn't even offer to cancel and refund my fully prepaid reservation. Luckily I was able to get a refund by calling budget's customer service hotline.
I highly recommend Budget Car Rental in La Jolla for many reasons, especially, those who drop the rental car in a different city. There is no drop-off fee and the rental comes with unlimited mileage. The staff of Budget is kind and accommodates your need to get the best car available. I highly recommend!!
Recently, I had to take my car to the shop unexpectedly. Late in the afternoon, I went on the Budget website, reserved my car, and picked it up two hours later. The girl at the counter was super friendly and accommodating, and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Thanks for such an easy and streamlined process!
I was in an accident a short while ago, and seeing as I only need a car a day or two a week I've been using rentals until I can decide on a car to lease. I can honestly say that this place is THE BEST rental agency in San Diego. The customer service I receive there is far beyond anywhere else I've used, and I would recommend them in a heartbeat. I can only hope I have as good of luck with leasing a car :)
