Service was great - however, car provided left something to be desired. I had just experienced a terrible car accident and was provided with a single key for my car - no clicker or identifying tag/keychain, which actually poses a bit of a security risk to me as a female driver who relies on remote entry. Interior of car had some stains on back seat, and windows weren't clean. I had a long and dramatic day, or I would have asked for a better car, but am guessing at this time of day, my options were limited.
The car we received was dangerous to operate. My guess is that the alignment was badly damaged from a previous incident. Almost lost control in turns. I informed agent when I turned the car back in and he said someone would call me.
The service, however, was very helpful and efficient, as they worked with my insurance for a smooth and painless transaction. When I called to inquire about returning my car, the staff were kind enough to arrange for me to drop off my car at the airport without an additional charge, for which I am grateful.
I got a rental car from Enterprise at Mission Valley after I had a not-at-fault rear-ending accident. The rep who assisted me was fine, but he tried to sell me (as they usually do) their own coverage. I told him that I wouldn't be buying their coverage as my insurance has proven to be very efficient. He kept insisting, and said that if I was to be involved in another accident (even if not-at-fault) Enterprise would collect my deductible, regardless whether the other party's insurance pays. I thought that wasn't right (as I later double checked with my insurance company AND the Enterprise manager at Mission Valley), but he kept insisting and giving me false information to talk me into buying Enterprise coverage. I tried to finish the conversation saying that statistically would be unlikely I would have more than one accident in the same week and he replied "Well, it's Friday 13". I found it very annoying that he wouldn't respect my decision, he would provide wrong information in order to sell me the coverage, and he tried to scare me with silly superstitions. Other than that, the car worked great, and the manager has asked me for my feedback three times now (this is why I'm writing this review, I received an automatic e-mail asking me to write a review - well, here it is).
The level of service is incomparable. I was able to be in and out in no time. My only concern after renting vehicles from Enterprise a number of times is the vehicles that are offered in specific levels. I reserved a full size vehicle expecting a car with a higher degree of comfort. My wife is unable to endure trips if vehicle has uncomfortable seating. Enterprise should be able to discuss customer concerns at counter instead of completing the transaction as quickly as the representative is obviously required to do. Thank you...
There are other details that make up my 2 of 5 rating...but rehashing the phone conversations and text interaction, while entertaining, would be pointless in the grand resolution of the situation.
2 days later, after following up with El Cajon blvd location by phone and Camino del rio south by phone and text, I was put in a car. There was no walk-around with this swap, just the clerk tossing me the keys and telling me the tank was full.
From my perspective, the treatment I received (as well as that which I did not receive) was based on my being in a rental car provided by an insurance company. Two stars is the best I can give this location.
The first vehicle I received had some challenge, either with the clutch or the transmission. I made the location aware of the problem, and asked about being swapped into something else, preferrably a car, not an SUV, minivan or truck. After being advised no such trade was available at this location, I returned home and made contact with the location on El Cajon blvd. While they had the same problem, only having SUVs, truck and vans available, I swapped for a minivan and asked about being listed for a car swap when one came available.
